Exterior Paint Adds Value and Protects
Painting the exterior of your home not only protects your largest asset from damage, but also improves curb appeal. Painting both exterior and interior of your home increases the value of your home by up to $4000. That’s an ROI bump on average of 55% for exterior painting.
According to a 2019 survey from the National Association of Realtors, 66% of real estate professionals agreed that a new coat of exterior paint greatly increases curb appeal, and is essential to complete before you list your home.
If you are planning on staying in your home, then investing in exterior paint not only increases your home value, it protects for years to come. In the Pacific Northwest, extreme wet weather can cause serious damage to a home if your paint is not correctly applied.
Generally it is recommended that you paint the exterior of your home every 5-7 years, depending on climate and paint quality. That is why we use the finest Sherwin-William & Miller Paint products to extend the longevity of your investment.
Our Exterior Home Painting Process
1
First, we do a full outside inspection during our free estimate process. We will check for peeling paint especially along the stem walls, check for rot around widow frames and any other exterior damage to the home that will need patching before the process begins.
2
After you receive a quote and work can begin, we will do a thorough cleaning and finish prepping and taping off the house. Failure to do prep work could cause the paint to not adhere properly, and could react badly to sun or rain.
We look out for special plants and other important garden area structures that should be protected.
3
We clean up after ourselves and take some photos of your beautiful new exterior paint job to show off on our website and social media. You will be the envy of the neighborhood!
Remember before choosing your home color, to check if there are HOA regulations in your neighborhood.
